We value community and relationships that promote belonging. Belonging is so essential to our health and purpose in life. We don't just want to be a crowd gathering. We wan't to be a community where we can truly know others and truly be known by others without shame.
DISCIPLESHIP
“Who’s Next”
Jesus has commanded those who follow Him to go and make disciples. This means that we have to be intentional about pursuing relationships that are pushing us closer to knowing and trusting Jesus. We also have to pursuing relationship where we are helping someone else to know and trust Jesus. This is one of the most life giving things we can do.
SERVICE
“Don’t cross the street”
There is a story in the bible called "The Good Samaritan". In this story there was a man who was desperately in need of help and was on deaths door steps. The people that should have helped this man didn't. These people in the story were the Levite and the Priest. Only the good Samaritan stopped to help this man and didn't cross the street to avoid him. We don't want to be a community that turns our head when we see real needs in our community. We wan't to meet as many of the needs of our community as possible.
TEAM
“Huddle Up”
The saying is true that "If you wan't to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far go together". We are community that strategies together, prays, communicates and executes together. We check our egos at the door because we all know that we are flawed and need the wonderful grace of our Savior.
GENEROSITY
“Open hands healthy heart”
Jesus teaches us that where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also. Our hearts are extremely important to Jesus and they should be to us as well. Jesus understand the money and heart connection. He spoke so much about it. If we are honest we know we can identify with this connection. We want to be a community of people with healthy hearts. Therefore we are generous and generosity is our privilege. We are blessed to give and will continue to be blessed as we give.
MISSION
“We can't come down”
There's a story in the bible about a man named Nehemiah. Nehemiah had a great mission to rebuild the wall around a city. Like anything in life, there was opposition to this mission. These enemies of Nehemiah wanted him to come down off of the wall and stop building. Nehemiah's response was "i'm doing a great work and I can't come down". We wan't to have that same commitment to the mission God has given us as a community.
EXCELLENCE
“We can’t stay here because “here” changes”
We are going to always do the best with what we have. We're on time, engaged and prepared. We don't do things half way. If we're gonna do it, it's to the best of our ability. We can't afford to get stuck in comfort and stay "here". Why? Because "here" is constantly changing.
